Buvna Ayyagari
Senior Vice President, New Ventures
Buvna Ayyagari is Senior Vice President (SVP) of New Ventures at Synopsys. In this newly created role, she is responsible for creation and productization of transformative Systems technologies, charting new paths for Synopsys¡¯ expansion into emerging and adjacent markets.
Buvna has rich and multi-disciplinary expertise across the semiconductor industry with over 20 years of global leadership across engineering, product and customer success. In her prior roles, she has a track record of bridging strategic insight and technological innovation to create meaningful customer impact.
Prior to rejoining Synopsys in 2025, Ayyagari led Software, Digitalization, and Customer Success at Renesas, where she architected system-level solutions that significantly accelerated customer development with Renesas products. Before that, as Vice President of Design Technology at Applied Materials, she built innovative system level solutions for Materials to Systems Co-optimization.
Her earlier 16-year tenure at Synopsys included leadership roles in IP, EDA, subsystems and applications engineering. She began her career at Intel as a design engineer.
Buvna holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Osmania University and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina. She completed leadership programs at Harvard University.
